Mr. Doerr is the former President of Aimstar Corporation directing the development of automated planning, routing, scheduling, and logistics software systems for complex radar cross section aircraft such as the B-2. He personally designed and oversaw the development of the VAMPS Automated Mission Planning System under contract to McDonnell Douglas Electronic System Corporation.  This system utilized proprietary evolutionary optimization techniques to rapidly develop near-optimum routes for complex criteria.  Mr. Doerr has unique expertise in aircraft and vehicle signature representation, characterization, and planning issues.


Mr. Doerr has provided engineering, planning, product R &D, and management assistance to various firms such as UROS Corp., a biomedical firm, where Mr. Doerr’s efforts lead to UROS’es successful Venture Capital funding, and Hexcel Corp. where Mr. Doerr developed and produced the Manufacturing Plan for the composite honeycomb core, leading and trailing edge signature components, and tooling for the B-2 as well as the production facility requirements plan.

As Vice President of Hexstar, Inc Mr. Doerr was the general manager of the Inland Division of Hexstar, managing the custom plastic injection molding facility producing thermoplastic and thermoset plastic and composite parts and custom molds for the electronics and aerospace industries.

Prior to Aimstar, Mr. Doerr was the Aircraft Systems Department Manager and the ManTech Program Manager at TITAN Systems.  Mr. Doerr directed Titan’s operations research and systems analysis work on the B-2, F-117, and other classified weapons programs. His manufacturing experience and expertise supported Titan’s ManTech programs and Titan’s acquisition of Manufacturing firms.  Subsequent to Aimstar, Mr. Doerr has split his time between management consultant and international airline pilot, gaining hands on experience with global air logistics issues.  Mr. Doerr’s other experience includes Plant Manager, RDCo Manufacturing, machine parts to spec., and experience as a Design Engineer.

Mr. Doerr served on active duty in the United States Navy from 1973-1980 and in the United States Naval Reserve from 1980-1992 rising to the rank of Commander. He has extensive experience in strike planning, aircraft employment, and operational tactics.  He has been the primary investigator on two aviation mishaps.  His Naval Aviation management experience includes: Aircraft Maintenance Department Head; Squadron Operations Department Head; and Executive Officer; as well as Airwing Qualified Landing Signal Officer.  He has over 12,000 flight hours operating various aircraft in military, civilian, and commercial environments including the F4, F-14, F-18, DC-9, 727, DC-10, and 747.
