Dr. Ken Hales provides 30 years experience in senior management of highly technical complex systems in the roles of: executive account manager, director, vice president, project manager, and manger of software projects. He demonstrated his abilities to forge teams, resulting in project success, and to solve intricate problems in a fast paced environment.

He managed the development and implementation of major projects for the military and for federal and state governments, as well as for the private sector. These experiences have been as varied as: the ASAT (anti-satellite) contract, Medicaid management information systems, the Marine Traffic Control System for the Panama Canal, and software development for the Morgantown, WV Personal Rapid Transit System. Ken’s commitment to excellence is apparent in his proficiency in assessing and turning around projects in trouble, as well as success in those he has implemented. These projects include, but are not limited to the following:

Dr. Hales led the Unisys team to an exemplary transition from UnitedHealthcare management to Unisys management of a large complement of data processing equipment, software and network hardware. Ken achieved high client satisfaction and significant cost savings for the customer on this $400M contract.

At Computer Sciences Corporation he managed the Consolidated Data Network Program, the largest (at the time) secure, private data network in the nation. Ken was responsible for 250 professionals on this over $300M system integration contract.

Ken directed the hardware and software development of a mission control center, and the embedded software development of an air-launched missile for the ASAT project for Boeing Aerospace Company.

While working at TRW, Ken managed a number of military/government software development programs.

Ken’s experience and achievements in business were enhanced by his education:

  • PhD— Control Theory-Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, Palo Alto, California
