Mr. Bordeaux founded ASR Systems in 1989 to develop new approaches to speech processing. He holds patents on a continuous speech, speaker-independent speech recognition system in the U.S., England, France, Germany and Italy. Other applications of the patented technology include language identification and speaker identification. Prior to founding ASR Systems, he was with R & D Associates where he conducted comparative studies of the operational effectiveness of U.S. and foreign mobile air defense units. Other efforts at RDA included an assessment of the survivability of U.S. bases in Europe under massive air attack and participation in the design of army division-level command control systems. While at RDA he was awarded a patent for a real-time speech recognition system.
Prior to joining RDA, he was with Northrop Corporation’s Aircraft Division where he was Chief of Operations Research responsible for managing analyses of the manufacturing operations. Prior to that assignment, he was Manager of Weapon Systems Analysis in the advanced aircraft design organization responsible for comparative assessments of the cost-effectiveness of Northrop and competitive aircraft.
Mr. Bordeaux holds an M.S. degree in Operations Research from the University of Southern California.
